I'm attempting to install FC6 x86 64 bit edition off of a DVD but it thinks my 2 80 GB hard drives are a RAID and they are not a RAID.
My system has 5 hard drives:
one 120 GB SCSI
two 320 GB SATA
two 80 GB SATA
I already have windows XP installed on one of the 320 GB HDDs and it works fine and recognizes all of the hard drives as seperate.
When I go to install FC6 and get to the part where you pick which hard drives you want to use my 120 GB and both 320 GB hard drives show up but the two 80 GB drives show up as one as a linux raid of 160 GB.
It isn't a raid though. I have a ASUS P5B Socket T (LGA 775) Intel P965 Express ATX Intel Motherboard and I have no RAIDs configured (I don't even think I can with this thing).
I just want FC6 installed on one of my 80 GB hard drives and that is it. Since it wouldn't let me I moved everything off of both of my 80 GB HDDs onto my other ones and attempted to install on the supposed RAID. Everything installed but then when I attempted to boot it said "Error loading OS".
So I went back into windows and looked at my hard drives. One of the 80 GB was missing and the other one showed up as un-formatted. I tried installing FC6 a few more times but it had the same result every time. So I got my other hard drive back to normal using some diskwizard software.
The 2 hard drives that it thinks are a RAID are from my older computer. At one time they were set up as a RAID 0 in that computer but I eventually set them to seperate hard drives and they worked fine like that. Then I moved them to the current computer and used them as sperate hard drives. So I'm guessing that has something to do with FC6 thinking they are a RAID.
Any ideas on how to fix this so it recognizes them as seperate?
I don't want to change any of the hard drives because that will mess up my windows stuff.
