FC6 Update problem

This is just a minor annoyance compared with some of the other posts I've read.

Anyway while running update I got a conflict.
"python-devel conflicts with python < 2.4.4-1.fc6"

Tried several times. Same message.

I just installed FC6 on a Pentim4 box with > 20Gig dirve and 512meg ram.
Any help would be appreciated.

Hello:
Exclude, whichever package is trying to update for the time being to allow the rest of your updates.
For example:
yum --exclude=pyton-devel update

Use the forum search for python-devel conflicts and you should find a few. It's been around for a couple weeks. I'm sure there were some fixes. (I would link you to the search, but I did that for someone yesterday, and the search url changed)

EDIT: I think one of them had 2 versions of python (probably due to a restart in the middle of the update).
