Thumbs down xine-lib in the Extras repo

The Extras repo has xine-lib (1.1.2-17) available now. I ran "yum update" to update my current Livna xine-lib rpm to the Extras version. The update process was complete smoothly, but when I tried to watch an MPEG video (.mpg) I got the error message saying "No plugin found." What gives? I went back to the Livna version (1.1.2-14) and no such error occurs anymore.

Any ideas?

the xine from extras has the "dirty" library files removed you'll have to exclude xine-lib when updating and then yum --disablerepo=extras update xine-lib

Update xine-lib from extras, then install xine-lib-extras-nonfree from livna.

What i find strange is that the livna xine-lib can play the video in rmvb files but not the audio.
