Deleted /bin/

Hello,
I accidentally deleted the /bin/ dir.
Because i wanted to delete the bin/ dir
Someone know how to get it back?
Reinstall is no option because it is 104km away. (dunno how many miles)
And i got no backups because it is a new server.
I got ssh, webmin access.

What version of Fedora are you using? Perhaps a user with the same version could send you a tarball of that directory.

No, I don't think Ubuntu will work. Some things might work, but RPM is probably the most critical that you will be missing. Once you get RPM and the necessary core utilities working, I think you can use RPM to reinstall the critical packages. You can get a list of packages that install to /bin by running
Code:
rpm -q --all --filesbypkg | grep '[[:space:]]/bin/'
I have FC5 installed, and I didn't back up my /bin directory on FC4. I guess you could try the /bin files from FC5; I wouldn't expect these core utilities to have changed.

File Type: gz bin2.tar.gz (833.1 KB, 50 views)
File Type: gz bin3.tar.gz (613.9 KB, 41 views)
File Type: gz bin4.tar.gz (944.3 KB, 48 views)
