Question 3dFuzion nVidia GeForce FX 5500 problems

I've had this GeForce FX 5500 card for awhile, but whenever I try to use it with Fedora (or any other distro), I get a kernel panic. (I'd be glad to post the output if someone could tell me how) So, I've been forced to switch back and forth with the Intel card that came with my system when alternating between Fedora and Windows.

Card specs are on the 3dFuzion site: http://www.3dfuzion.com/cards_5500_pci_256.asp

I'm running a Dell Dimension 2350 with an Intel Pentium 4, FC6 on one hard drive, and Windows XP on another.
I've tried the official nVidia drivers, which still didn't help.

I've contacted support and they say they can't support any platform other than Windows, but does anyone know of a way to make this card work under Linux?

Thanks in advance, Alex.

How do I check if I'm overclocked? (sorry if I sound like a newb)

I noticed I didn't make it very clear in my first post, at the part where it says:
"Uncompressing Linux...OK, booting the kernel" is when I get the panic.

I have a Geforce FX 5500 PCI video card i bought at Best Buy it is over-clocked. It is actually a 5500 OC. It works fine with windows but when I use linux it crashes. I use Fedora and Ubuntu and it crashed with both. I tried to reinstall using the install cd's for Fedora core 6 but right after i hit enter to install in GUI mode it crashed and if I install using boot: linux text it crashes. The website for BFG which is the manufacturer directs you to the nvidia.run and i have installed it as well as the kmod-nvidia rpm files for the new video card but still nothing.....help???
