Kernel-Zen problem after updating

Hello,

I installed FC6 (i386) today. After I launched it i updated the kernel to Kernel-Xen 2.6.18-1.2849.fc6 together with every update I could find for kernel in Yumex. I then restarted my system an everything went well up to the loginscreen, because there was no login screen, but "text login" (I dont know what you call that).

I could log in to it without any problems, but i'd like my gnome/kde back.

i restarted my computer to the old kernel an everything worked fine. I uninstalled to 2849 kernel and reinstalled it, but it still showed the same problem again, but this time the old kernel would show the same problem too.

i dont know whats wrong, so please someone help me

MfG

Well, with the old kernel linux justed booted correctly again, but with the 2849 zen-kernel its still doing the same stuff.

Is there maybe a manual way of starting gnome?
