Making "Browse for other folders" section of Save As dialog open by default.

Is there a way that I can configure GNOME to always open the "Browse for other folders" section in the File Save As dialog window, so that I don't have to click the button everytime I want to save a file in a different folder?

I guess you are talking about the Nautilus file manager? You can add bookmarks like "work" or "music" or "dev", just type Ctrl-D when in Nautilus. After that, these dirs are one-click-choosable in the save-as file dialogs. Hope this is what you are looking for.

Cheers, Paul.

Yes, nautilus and anything else that uses the same dialog window. What you suggested works, but only for bookmarked directories. I'd still prefer the ability to not open that "Browse for other folders" section in the cases where I don't have a bookmark, which is about 50% of the time.
