Cool Fedora 6 trouble and help

I have installed Fedora 4 and was impressed on a 64 HW. Now with the upgrade to 6.. boy things realy missed up and I surely like to backup my local directory so I can re-format my hard drive and install Fedora 4 again.
The problem I faced was my masqurading or "IPtable" is gone bye bye and had to do use firestarter to get this partially working. I do not know where so far that I can chang httpd port as the GUI that I use to under 4 is gone. my gforce 6000 card instalation program is not working and actually had to install it manually. not sure any more about the security in the system after the upgrade.

If any one was more successfull than me would be a great help. if not the least is how to backup my local "big" home directory so I can re-install Fedora 4.

Thanks for the miss up Fedora. I think I will stick to one software and do not change as it has been the case starting with RedHat till came to the famouse 9. ... changed to Caldera and lost every thing again and now this... I am starting to get frusterated with LINUX but I think cause its free but my time is burning like this.

Joseph

nVedia has a driver that you can get through yum. Thats what I use for my vid card, you might want to too. You can still get at ip tables, I don't play with that though. Try searching for it.

I have no idea how to back up you HDD other DVD-R's.
