Dell Inspiron 6400

Hi,

I haven't tried FC6. I want to know will my wireless work out the box? I have a Intel PROWireless 3945, will it work? And how should i get it to work if it doesn't work? Is it too difficult? I am really new to linux!

According to Intel site and sourceforge it appears so, if you have the ABG variant (whatever that is). Just don't blame me if it doesn't work... What you can do, is try a dual-boot installation of Linux and play around a bit until you find out whether all your hardware is supported and if you like it. Then, if you don't, just scrap it (there are plenty of threads on how to get rid of grub from your hard disk). Also, search the forum about Intel Pro wireless. I remember a few other threads of people who had problems having that card work with Fedora... You may find out interesting info there.
