Gnome recent documents grayed out!!

Trying to use recent documents in FC6, but it's grayed out in FC6. Did I do something wrong?

Hmmm. It's working fine here Dave, but I seem to remember a preferences setting about this, but I'm not sure. Let me go hunt a while.

EDIT; Well, I can't immediately find the reference I was thinking about. But I'll keep looking.
