Getting FrostWire to work

I have limewire, but it bugs me, lol, i want FrostWire, i installed the rpm.gz package, how to run? its soo seperated?

This still works: http://fedoraforum.org/forum/showthr...ight=frostwire
You might have to get the rpm off sourceforge i think the link is broken. But other than that all the commands and edits are still good.

Also make sure you change the java commands to the current version of java.

there is no rpm package virsion this is what i downloaded

FrostWire-4.10.9-2.tar.gz

tyvm this did help a lot, but i still cant get it to work, im at the very end lol, i did everything instructed and after it said it shuld work now, it didnt.,, Grawl..

Just wanted to chime in and say I have the same problem. I followed the instructions and it just doesn't start. No errors, no nothing.

What is odd is that if I use the tarball from http://www.frostwire.com FW will load but won't connect to the network.

hey pete, frostwire is waiting on an update, its installed correctly, to get it to work follow these instructions.

On the Connections page of Frostwire (available from View > Show/Hide menu) click the Add... button then enter Host 69.157.158.209 Port 14966.
