Can anyone play videos from cbs.com? I get sound only - no video. Anybody can/knows how to get video going?
    Thanks,

Are you talking about watching the innertube movies? If so, I have been attempting to do the same thing for about 2 weeks now. Here's what I have found.

Linux Flash Player 7 doesn't work, it needs version 9. (The site was designed for version 8)
    Firefox doesn't work. (???)
Opera 9 has worked so far however, I can not get the java to work. (Not sure why)

Keep an I on the Newbie Question post for future resolutions.

Thanks Nezmin2. Yes, it is "Innertube". I'm using latest Firefox with Flash 9.0d55.
    Thanks,

Hi leigh123: Yes I have "Helix DNA Plugin: RealPlayer G2 Plug-In Compatible version 0.4.0.622 built with gcc 3.2.0 on Jul 18 2006". I'd really apreciate if you could tell more about how you managed to playe videos from cbs.com (innertube ones).
    Thanks and regards,
    serge.

Hi leigh123: I'm probably testing you patience, but could you do me a big favor: go to "http://www.cbs.com/daytime/yr/" and try to play "The Young and the Restless Y&R's Eric Braeden..." video.
    Much obliged,
    serge.

Yes I did. But I have Seamonkey 1.0.6, and in the FC6 package manager, I do not see Mozilla 1.7.3, but will try to somehow install it.

SWEET! Had tried in FireFox a week ago, but didn't feel like doing the debugging at the time. A little sketchy at times, but once its going its seems fine. Using RealPlayer from an RPM installation too. Now I don't need to boot to Windows *shudder* for this anymore .

    Hey Serge,
I have Firefox 1.5 installed with the latest Flash files installed and still cannot play innertube files. This site works on Java and Flash. The error message states that it was designed for Flash 8 which there is no Linux version for. I have upgraded my Java and the Flash Player Files and nothing happens. I tried installing the realplayer rpm, even though I do not understand why this would make a difference, and still no luck. I installed Opera 9 and the Java doesn't work.

    Any new ideas?

    Thanks...

If you read serge's posts you will see he resolved this issue by installing mozilla 1.7 , Firefox just wont play innertube.
