Acer Ferri\ari 4300 bcm43xx x86_64 problems

As the title suggests, I have an Acer Ferrari 3400 laptop with 2G of ram. I have been trying to get the wireless working. The unit has a Broadcom 3406 wireless.

When I had the i386 FC6 installed, I was on my way to getting bcm43xx working. /At least, the parameters entered into the Network Manager were relected in "iwconfig." Now I have the x86_64 FC6 installed and none of the changes I make in the network manager are relected in iwconfig. Not only that, if I try to start the program, my computer locks up so bad I must cut power to reboot.

Any ideas?

Mark
