Hello all this is my first post,here is ana rticle from the bbc about a chap who bought a dell laptop uninstalled windows and got a refund from dell....

Welcome, Todds, and thanks for the article. Funny thing is that you can get a Dell configured without an OS and it's actually a little more expensive; at least the last time I checked. Good to see that Dell used common sense in this case.

hi ya thanks for the welcome,yes i agree its daft cost more without,doesnt make any sense ,at all well welcome to the weird and not so wonderful life of windows.... a small victory for linux but maybe a significant one hopefully!!!
