Hi,
I am wondering if anyone has gotten the rtl8187 chip up and running. I was able to use ndiswrapper with the sys and inf files from my Windows install. When I modprobe ndiswrapper, I can see wlan0 under iwconfig. I can set the key, but I cannot change the SSID. There is no light at the computer, so I don't know if the "card" is turned on or not. I have tried turning on broadcast, and using no key, but lwlist wlan0 scan does not see the card.
From dmesg:Code:my iwconfig results: wlan0 IEEE 802.11g ESSID:off/any Mode:Managed Frequency:2.412 GHz Access Point: Not-Associated Bit Rate:54 Mb/s Tx-Power:20 dBm Sensitivity=0/3 RTS thr:2432 B Fragment thr:2432 B Encryption key:off Power Management:off Link Quality:0 Signal level:0 Noise level:0 Rx invalid nwid:0 Rx invalid crypt:0 Rx invalid frag:0 Tx excessive retries:0 Invalid misc:0 Missed beacon:0
