Hello all!

I've been a long time fan of RedHat for years, but I've been out of the loop. The last time I used RedHat was when they were still allowing the RedHat distributions to be downloaded for free. Ahh... those were the days

Anyway, I've been bitten by the bug to do more Linux experimenting and I came across Fedora. Well, I bought a MacMini last year, and figured... since I don't have anything to put it to work on... why the hell not! So without further ado, I post to you on my MacMini with Fedora 6 on it!

Very easy to install, no problems whatsoever and speedy to boot.

Hey, Welcome! Good to have you with us and hope you enjoy FC-6 as much as we do. I think you'll find that linux has changed dramatically in the last few years and is a bit ahead of the curve now. Please don't hesitate to ask when something comes up that bothers you or jump in when you have a suggestion for others.

Nice to have you aboard Chimpy!

Glad the install went smooth, and I hope you have a blast playing with FC6! BTW, before you try yum... fasten your seatbelt. This ain't the old slow Fedora Core yum anymore!

Good news deserves to be shared. Back to the top of the heap with this one!

Enjoy!

Dan

Hi
I'm using FC_5 and this is the second time that I've tried Linux first time was Redhat 6 I believe and that was some time ago, but since I installed Fedroa in August with no problem other than my Intel modem is still not working, it gets used 95% of the time. The hard drive was split with FIPS and the first part still has that other ugly program on it for emergencies but Fedora has won me over. I'll wait for a while to try FC_6 until a few of the bugs are worked out. The people who bash Linux must have no idea on how to set up an os or they just give up to easily. Just Wanted to say Hi and vent a little.
