KDE 3.2 crash on boot

I installed KDE 3.2 ...all worked well after install and initial reboot
...the next day I turned on computer and once it gets to KDE splash...it crashes...the debug dialog indicates:
KDE session manager (ksmserver) has crashed...generated a "signal 11" (sigsegv)...no other information is logged no backtrace info...
I have done a search in forums and on web but no info specifically addresses my problem....
anyone have a solution...I am a newbie at this stuff so I am really lost at this point...

I would re-install it with:

rpm -Fvh *.rpm

in the dir you saved the rpms in.

I initially installed using rpm -Fvh *.rpm...I downloaded all necessary files and put in tmp directory...Kde worked fine till I turned on computer the next day....I think I must have had a corrupted file or something....I did try to re-install using rpm -Fvh *.rpm but did not work (tells me "already installed")..I was unable to remove the files either....I tried using rpm -qa kde* without sucess...
Since I had the time I did a new install of FC1...updated it...then attempt the Kde 3.2 install
...it worked fine...no errors...turned off computer for awhile the re-booted...no errors...all works fine...
