Question before I do a new install of FC5.

Ok, I'm new to this forum, but I have been using Fedora to run a server for about 6 months. I don't have a ton of experience with Linux, but I at least have a fair idea of operations.

I am wondering if I can set the kernel timer frequency before I make an install. I noticed that when ISOLinux is loaded, I can go into a kernel portion, but I don't know the command to set the kernel timer freq option.

Any help on this is appreciated.

i think that you have to compile a new kernel with the HZ variable .
it is not an option which can be set at boot time.

Thanks. I figured this out a while ago, but I am still having trouble when compiling the kernel. I get an error when I am compiling the modules. I'll post it later.
