Gaim should be included out of the box.

Hit enter. Click "accept" in the license agreement windows that appears. Wait for the installation to complete. (Note: If the Macromedia license agreement does not appear you may have to type "/usr/lib/flash-plugin/setup install " at the root prompt and hit enter.) ...THAT HAPPENED THE AGREEMNET NEVER CAME UP WHERE DO I ENTER THIS??? usr/lib/flash-plugin/setup install IT SAYS AT ROOT PROMPT I DID SAYS THIS ..bash: usr/lib/flash-plugin/setup: No such file or directory SO WHAT GOIN WRONG??

yum install pan (old python version)

Or you can go to pan.rebelbase.com and get the new C++ version 0.116 (you will have to compile)/

On post #6: How are you becoming root?

If you did not go in as root, it will not work.

For WMV please see my 'Media in Fedora Core' howto, I show how to get videos such as wmv and more working. As for flash, you can use the RPM installer for quick setup:
Code:
su -
wget http://macromedia.mplug.org/rpm/RPMS.macromedia/flash-plugin-7.0.68-1.i386.rpm
rpm -ihv flash-plugin-7.0.68-1.i386.rpm
rm flash-plugin-7.0.68-1.i386.rpm
mkdir -p /usr/X11R6/lib/X11/fs/
ln -s /etc/X11/fs/config /usr/X11R6/lib/X11/fs/config
Now restart Firefox and you should be set.
