Civilization IV with ATI?

Hey

I recently started using FC, well aware of that some/most games wont work as good as in Windows. But still i hate the multi-tasking in windows so much, i just had to convert. At least for office use. With my dual core AMD, multi-tasking truuly is just a pleasure...

Anyway, i've just recieved a Powercolor ATI Radeon X1900XT 256mb. And i wanted to try games in Linux anyway, therefore i bought Cedega, and tried it. Got it istalled and patched. Then i was good to run.

First time i tried, it lagged like hell. Okey i thouht, bad drivers... lets wait for updates. Talked to my mate, wich told me to check the glxgears, wich gave me 300 or something FPS. I had to actually turn the graphic card on XD. Went up to 3000 FPS in glx gears ( i know, sux, my mate with 7900gt gets about 14k). Anyway, then i tried again... the FPS was much better, almost 100% smooth. But ofcourse, there was no menues. I coulden't see the menues, just the animated background. And on the intro videos, they were all cut up (just like a slice across the screen).

Then i re-installed it, did some changes ( i think, cant really remember). And tried it again, now it was all black, except the first intro video wich i just get a small peek from :P

Anyone got any ideas? I can live with what my card is able to render, as i can see from the background, but i need menues.

Thanks
