Configuration of a TV-card??

Hello everybody,

Is there anybody who knows how to install a TV-card(Airstar 2 TV) on Fedora Core 4
I tried to do this with system setttings-->network --networkconfigurations.
I went to the devicetab and there i tried to add the TV-card with the button new.
But what is the device-type that i have to use because i already used the common ethernetcard but
it is not doing the job!?
Any idea's for how to do this?

Thanks in advance

My OS is not in the possibility to open it after boot/reboot but when I run
the command "dmesg" there are the following line:

drivers/media/dvb/b2c2/skystar2.c: FlexCopIIB(rev.195) chip found
drivers/media/dvb/b2c2/skystar2.c: the chip has 38 hardware filters

DVB: registering new adapter (SkyStar2).
i2c_readbytes: i2c read error (addr 0a, err == -121)

I don't know if somebody knows what they mean but I think that Fedora recognizes my TV-card.
Please can somebody help me. I'am very new in linux and it's very difficult for me to do some
fine troubleshooting

The network configuration panel wouldn't have anything to do with a tv card. You'll need to install a compatible program like TVTime and configure the card from there.

Thanks you.
So you actually can't configure a TV-card with the Networkconfiguration-tool.
But is there a other place where you can controle if you TV-card is up or down??
Because before you scan, you have to know if you card is up.
Sorry for the questions but i'am very new with this.

Best Regards

Yes,

this card works very well under linux because i saw this on the linuxTV-site
http://www.linuxtv.org/wiki/index.php/PCI_devices_DVB-T
Look for Airstar2PC.
and i also tested in the knoppix-VDR linux.
On knoppix you can't save anything. That's why i wanted to make it work under my
linux.
