    FC6 Test3 will not boot

Did a clean install of FC6 Test3, but it will not boot properly.
During the boot, it fails after several SELinux messages are listed, then reboots. It will continue this behavour indefitnetly.
Could the problem have resulted from burning the iso image to a CD-RW?

i have this problem after installing FC6 Test3 im not sure about the SELinux messages (cant chek right now untill i get back from work and school) but it restarts indefenetly (im an absolut noob) i thought that it might be because i had FC5 installed and the /home directory mounted to my 200GB folder and that might cause some kid of problem or something but i dont really know... Please help

Can you guys view the virtual terminals at ctrl-alt-f3 and ctrl-alt-f4 to try and get a sense of the cause of the cycling reboot? What type motherboards do you have? Are you installing to SATA? Or PATA? Please provide more details if possible.

Greetings jc, long time no peck.
Have an ABIT AV8, installing on a PATA drive. Unable to view the virtual terminals. This is a first with me, never had any problems with any other Fedora test disk images or otherwise.

I had the same problem, ans posted a bug report here .

If you have ANY reiserfs partitions, even if not in use, on your PC the installer won't get past the "Looking for previous installations of Fedora Core" step.

I run FC6 (rawhide) on that very motherboard, but I use SATA only. Last night I popped in the FC6T3 boot.iso and kicked off an FC6T3.x86_64 NFS install right up to the point where the hdd actually gets written to, then backed out. I just wanted to see if I'd see the same problem as you. Sorry to say, I didn't.

I just hope Fedora fixes these issues before the final release because very few people seem to have a successful install of 6t3.

    Hi all,

I have the same problem in installing FC6 T3, after the keyboard choose. I have a reiserFS partition no used, so i will try to distroy it, maybe it's the problem.
    I have only PATA HD.

I downloaded the DVD iso files for test 3 and proceeded to install it to my HP Pavilion a1016x. The medium test showed that the burn was good. Everything went normally up to the point where the installation should have started. When I clicked to proceed with installation, this error message came up --
An error occurred unmounting the CD. Please make sure you're not accessing '/mnt/source' from the shell on tty2 and then click OK to retry.
I believe this may be an error with the DVD iso, rather than my hardware. It appears to me that Anaconda thinks that it is supposed to be changing CDs at this point, which is unnecessary with a DVD.
I've tried to file a bug report, but the site sends me in circles and nothing can be reported.

I can wait until they issue the release. By that time, hopefully they will have these install problems solved.

Hi - had the same problem, which I started an earlier thread about, which someone gave the answer to. It worked for me though I never proceeded with the install as it said it wanted all 5 CDs and I'd only downloaded the first two at the time.
