Apache - Where is my httpd.conf ?

apache is installed and I seem to be having some permissions problems. I have googled and found that I should check my httpd.conf in the conf/ folder.... but I cannot find anything anywhere to do with apache I have got the var/www/html folders but cannot find httpd.conf

Any pointers ?
