Hi, hope someone can help me!
I am new to Linux but have tried to assemble a server based on am old motherboard with an AMD Athlon 1200, 1,5 GB RAM, One old 40 GB Harddisk [hda] to boot from and 4 200 GB Harddisks [hdb hdd hde hdg] in a RAID 5 configuration. I've installed Fedora Core 4 and the RAID using EVMS.
This morning the server had a failure with the power cable to two of the RAID5 harddisks and now the machine will not install the RAID5 when booting. Starting evmsgui I get two errormessages:
MDRaid5RegMgr: Region md/md0: MD superblocks found in object(s) [hdd hde ] are not valid. [hdd hde ] will not be activatted and should be removed from the region.
MDRaid5RegMgr: RAID5 Region md/md0 is corrupt. The number of raid disks for a full functional array is 4. The number of active disks is 2.
evms does not look like very helpfull in a repair job and using mdadm --examine on all 4 drives says that none of the drives have any superblocks.
I am a bit confused!
I will be thankfull if anyone can help me getting my RAID5 back.
