Apple Airport Driver Installation BCM43xx

Right im trying to get my wireless card to work on linux but when I go into network configuration the wireless card isnt there just is the ethernet wired card. If i add a device it gives an error. I read that the driver for appple airport was included in the new kernel version and you can also choose it out of the list but then you need to enter the IRQ and DMA numbers, not sure what they are. Any Ideas on how to get this to work?

I read that I need to install the firmware which you take from an osx installation, however i managed to delete my osx while isntalling linux. oops. Hence I downloaded the update from the official apple site, but it is in a .dmg image file. After conferting .dmg to .iso and trying to extract it I am left with a .pax file. This is where im at a loss.

also do i need to do anything with the BCM43xx driver? or is this only for older kernel versions?

any help would be appreciated.

Gilles
