Add/Remove Programs tweak

is there a way to add/remove program without the internet connection or just by using the cd.

i saw a link in this forum but what it does is copy the iso's to the harddrive and mount it. this maybe space consuming method isnt it. plus the CD that you've burn will be of no use after that.

is there no other way?
