Problem getting my wireless card working on my Dell Inspiron 2200 working

I have a DELL Inspiron 2200 notebook. My Fedora Core 5 installation can not find my wireless card. I believe it is a Broadcom, but I don't know what model. I can check on my windows inastall. Let me know if you need me to.

You will need to create a new network connection from the New Connection Wizard. It should be located in your Fedora menu. From there you will create a new wireless connection and select one that matches your brand. After that, the rest should be pretty self explanatory.

The bcm43xx driver gets loaded by default. I have an Inspiron 2200 and couldn't get the bcm43xx driver to work with my AP. I currently have the bcm43xx driver blacklisted. I use ndiswrapper. There is load of information available on how to set this up, just search this site. See http://forums.fedoraforum.org/forum/...d.php?t=116914 for my experience attempting to get bcm43xx to work.

I too use a Inspiron 2200 and ended up using the native bcm43xx drivers (I have gotten it working with FC5 and FC6 test2). I wnet round and round trying to teh all that ndiswrapper stuff to work but never could get it to work that way. My card is a Linksys WPC54GS. I can't find teh link that got me finished but one thing I had to do was to get wl-apsta.o from http://drinus.net/airport/wl_apsta.o. I think I ran sudo bcm43xx-fwcutter -w /lib/firmware/2.6.15-23-386 ,/wl_apsta.o (I foudn that in a link and it sounds familiar).
