how to modify network install kernel ?

Hi.

I have created a PXE network install server, we use it to install Fedora Core 4, it works fine, except for our new line of servers - they have a network driver that isn't natively supported in the kernel till a later version.

Can anyone advise me how to update the network install initrd.img and vmlinuz files - you seemingly can't just copy the present initrd.img and vmlinuz into the /tftpboot/linux-install/fc4/ folder.

The present Fedora Core 4 kernel (2.6.17) works fine with the LAN driver.

Is there a way to make a network install kernel from my present running kernel ?

Or is there a way to add a module to the original network install kernel (2.6.11) ?

Any help would be very welcomed.
