How to mount USB floppy?

Hi,

I installed FC5 on a parition in my Dell laptop dual boot with XP. I wanted to use NTLDR to boot Fedora so at the end of the Fedora install I boot using Linux rescue to copy the boot sector of /boot to a floppy drive. I would then copy the Linux boot sector to C: drive and modify the boot.ini to dual-boot. I did this for my desktops and they work fine.

However for my Dell laptop the floppy drive is an external USB. How do I mount this USB drive? I tried mounting it to /dev/fd0 but it is not the correct device.

Please advise. Thank you.

i assume youd simply mount it like any other usb device.. and that the hardware in the device will do the neccesary transfes in the filesystem.

if you put a disk in, and plug it in, does a icon show in nautilus?

The procedure that I followed to dual-boot requires that I copy the boot sector from the Linux partition on my hard disk to the Windows boot drive (C before I can boot to Linux.

Since I do not have a shared FAT partition, I need to copy the boot sector onto a floppy which is USB connected. I am still not able to boot Fedora yet therefore no X Windows and Nautilus.

I need to know what is the device file for USB floppy when I boot in Linux Rescue mode.

Thanks.
