Problems with "dual head" xorg.conf

I've been working on this problem on and off for some time now and I'm pretty well disgusted with it now. I've got an Intel 810 Graphics Chipset going to a Sony 100ES monitor and an nVidia Gforce something going to a Sony Multiscan 17sf Monitor. It isn't a problem with the drivers as far as I can tell because I can use the nVidia card with the Multiscan Monitor fine and I can use the Intel onboard card with the 100ES monitor just as well. The problem comes in when I try to use both cards at the same time. I even specified the PCI bus in the xorg.conf.

Maybe someone out there (who is more awake than I am) can manage to see where I'm slipping up? Thanks

Doesn't the agp video card disable your onboard video has soon has it is plugged-in?

If not what motherboard is being used here?

Well yes and no. Yes it uses the video card I plugged in as the default. However, when I'm on Windows (grooossss, I know), XP is able to recognise both and use both for a dual screen desktop. This makes me think "hmm, if Windows can use both cards, certainly Linux can."

The HP Support Site tells me it's an Intel something. The chipset name is "Intel i810E." The link has more information. Scanpci tells me "Intel Corporation 82810E DC-133 CGC [Chipset Graphics Controller]" for the video card information. It's on PCI:0:1:0. The nVidia Card is on PCI:1:11:0. Scanpci can see both of them so maybe it's not disabled? I'm not sure.

welcome to the club. Save yourself a lot of time and get an nvidia card that supports dual head. You can search for some of my other posts where I've tried and failed to configure the i810 drivers for dual head in fedora. I'll be happy to help, but I don't think it will work right now.
