Hey, just wanted to say that I upgraded to FC6 and aiglx works.... kinda
so a couple of quick questions....
one, does aiglx have some kind of max resolution or something, cuse I am getting weird behavior that makes it pretty much unusable I have posted the screenshot
second, can I use fglrx with aiglx, I am using the open source one now but the closed on is faster.
Thanks for everything though you have been pretty patiant.

Hi all,
i have installed the nvidia beta driver 9625 and also xorg7.1 under fc5. The nvidia tool says, all is ok and it works. But if i try to install aiglx with compiz i'am only see the blue screen. My question, is it possible to get a working aiglx with compiz with fc5 (not fc6)? I have installed a nvidia 7600GS. Can anybody help?

What ATi card do you have? Maybe others are seeing problems, too.
Also, have you installed all updates recently?

I have found this link http://www.nvnews.net/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=77030 . The writer says it's very importend to install compiz 0.2 or newer. But installed is 0.0.13. Where can i found the newer package? Does anybody have a link for fc5?

Reverting aiglx
Hi,
I've tried isnstalling AIGLX from your guide (and only aiglx) but it's pain in ass. After restarting X server it doesn't srat with error that it can't use fglrx driver. So after about an hour of searching I've edited my xorg.conf to radeon driver. It has finaly startded. But when I enable /apps/metacity/general/compositing_manager it crash. And when i have it disabled, and try to use opengl for the second time, it crashes too. So i am asking: How to get rid of aiglx and return to original Xorg?
I'm using FC5

Well, it's not enabled until you set /apps/metacity/general/compositing_manager to 'True' so technically you're off it right now... But, if you really want to force it's removal, try: Your milage may vary, I haven't tried that and don't recommend dumping compiz off your system, but there it is

firewing, xgl is woring fine but there is a shaddowwwwwwwwwwwwww on rght side of menu's terminals etc. aixgl is screwing my FC 6 box.. everytime is destroy my xserver...

lol... For the shadow in your app/compiz gconf settings there's a shadow / window border setting I believe in one of the plugins - reduce it's value and it should be fixed. As for AIGLX, what card are you on?
