i've got two monitors with nvidia and xorg set up to have a desktop spanning both montiors. (here's a screenshot to clarify):

the problem is, whenever i watch a movie, (dvd, mpeg, avi, wmv, basically anything) the movie is always played as if it were in widescreen mode. that is, there are black bars on the top and bottom and the actual movie is all stretched out in between. no matter how i resize the movie always looks stretch out and squished down.
it didn't look like this until i setup the spanning desktop.
