since this is wibble, I wanna discuss voip.

I have zero experiance with it, except for maby what I do over xbox live - how's it work with phone#'s ect.. and hardware - do I need elite 500$ routers n stuff to handle this junk? or is it fairly cheap

I think he's referring more to stuff like teamspeak and ventrilo. I tried to install teamspeak on my installation and it was having problems not sure if anyone else has been able to get teamspeak working on core 5 yet or not though. I'm thinking we need an open source VOIP teamspeak type solution.

actually I'm looking at more of the art and zen of voip instead of telco connectivity - copper wire replacement - because telephone companies charge way too much and offer very little.

So - if you got voip, let me know..

as for the thread where people are talking about vonnage. - what concerns me about vonnage is interoperability with other services - the hardware seems very vonnage only.
