The only thing I can think of, is, if you have a high speed
connection, you could login to a terminal (as root?) and
remove kde using yum. Then re-install KDE using yum again.
Actually, I think you can install KDE from yum, using the CDs,
so the 'net connection might not be required.
Also, before re-installing, move your .kde directory
to somewhere else.
