Help me with Sigmatel 8384/7690 sound card ?

I just tried to install Fedora core 5, windows media center, Dell directmedia on a Dell XPS M140 laptop. Other things went on well. But, I cannot get my sound card to work under fedora core 5. Linux recognizes the sound card as "intel hda high definition ICH-----"?

Anyone, pls help.
