I just wanted to point out -
Before with previous releases of kernels, I always dreded doing a simple yum update. why? because any kernels released sometimes didnt not have corrisponding NVIDIA modules that would match the newly released kernels ..
Having dual display, this sucked HARD - because I would have to downgrade my box after a yum update that recived a kernel - and wait for nvidia drivers to come out.. then sit on my thumbs because honestly, there's no way of knowing WHEN the nivida driver for the newer kernels were going to be released.
With the LAST yum update I did in FC5 -
BOTH Came down with the update.
check it out
[root@ZIRCON melio]# rpm -q kmod-nvidia
[root@ZIRCON melio]# rpm -q kernel
a simple reboot yeiled NO ISSUES - Thank you repo men!
your effort makes thousands of fedora users with nvidia displays very very happy.
