Hi all,
This is my first posting to the forum. I have setup a fedora core 5 linux (downloaded the DVD from redhat mirror site) in a Intel Machine. While Installation I have selected everying. The fedora server is now running fine. I have download the putty client in my XP Desktop machine (another machine) and established a ssh connectivity to the fedora server and I am able to connect using the "root" user itself.
After that I have downloaded the following files
http://fedoranews.org/contributors/r...5.1.noarch.rpm
and
http://fedoranews.org/contributors/r...FC5.1.i386.rpm
and installed the same in the fedora server and the installation went well without any errors.
After that I have downloed the NoMachine Client from nomachine.com (nxclient-2.0.0-92.exe) and installed the same. While configuring the same, as per the instruction found in
http://fedoranews.org/contributors/rick_stout/freenx/, I have configured the initial setup. but When I clicked the "Key" It was showing already some Key information. So I haven't touched any key information and saved the same. Then I tried to establish connectivity to fedora core. I was getting an error saying "Server not installed or NX access denied" I clicked on the details and checked. It was showing authentication error. Here is the complete error log
NX> 203 NXSSH running with pid: 3420
NX> 285 Enabling check on switch command
NX> 285 Enabling skip of SSH config files
NX> 285 Setting the preferred NX options
NX> 200 Connected to address: 10.7.4.130 on port: 22
NX> 202 Authenticating user: nx
NX> 208 Using auth method: publickey
NX> 204 Authentication failed.
After that, I have tried another scenario. I copied the file from the /etc/nxserver/client.id_dsa.key file from the fedora server to my XP desktop using sshcopy. Then I have imported the key using the "Key" option in the NX Client and tried again. Again the same error as said above and I am not able to connect.
Could anybody please give me some direction on how to solve this.
Thanks In Advance
