Create a custom Logon Manager with GDM

I am going to be setting up two Fedora Core 5 linux labs at my University for the Earth Sciences Department. I would like to create a custom logon screen with my own picture and text.

I am wondering if there is any documentation or website that shows you how to create one using GDM?
