Dell Latitude display problem

I just recently got a Dell Latitude C600 from a freind, but I found out the Windows XP operating system was an illegal hack. However, I never had any display problems running any resolution with it. However, when I downloaded and installed Fedora v5, once it loaded in graphical mode, the display started acting strange. The right third of the screen is normal, but the left third doubles up over the middle third and blurs around the edges.
I am compleatly new to Linux and have no programing experience, but I hope I have provided enough information for someone to help me out. Thanks in advance.

Nevermind, I got the problem fixed by setting the correct monitor configuration.
