Angry ati_remote doesn't work properly

Hey,

i have an ati remote wonder connected and installed at my PC using lineak. But there's one Problem: When I press a key at my remote, the kernel-module sends many events to the system, so it's almost impossible to use functions like mute or pause
I remember at my old System (FC4) it worked with the CD-kernel, but after some kernel-updates this problem was there. And it haven't gone away with a new version.
Can I fix this problem or will I have to use lirc again?
