Kind of dumb, actually, but you know what they say: Knows more a fool man asking than a wise man answering...
Anyway, I've got a Fedora Core 5 system at work, it's actually an HP Pavillion Athlon XP based, and everything works just fine... Well sort of...
I found that I could put to sleep the computer just fine using the keyboard key (yay!), however, upon resume the display is somewhat corrupted: horizontal zig-zag like lines across the screen, I can still see, but unless I'm terribly mistaken, that's not supposed to happen. I can get away by loggin off, and killing X (ctrl+alt+backspace) and everything is just fine (as the driver and the whole of X is reloaded!)
Now my question is actually: Do i report this to FC's bugzilla or Xorg's? The computer uses an onboard Savage 4 video adaptor with the corresponding driver. FC bulit the Xorg packages, but the Xorg guys
coded the drivers... Yet the drivers "broken" are in FC's Xorg version (and upstream this might be corrected)...
Don't mind me much, though... it's almost 5 AM here and maybe I wanted to write something else besides work reports
