fedora no ping no internet

I have a PC pentium 4 with a net card netgear fa311tx.
If I install redhat 9 works to the perfection but if I install fedora I do not succeed any to make the ping or to connect on Internet. Are 10 days that i install changing it net card, door Pci, rebuild the kernel with 2.6.16.20 but they are not successful to obtain only a ping. Someone has had similar cases.
Thanks thousands to anyone know to me to help

excused for my English
