startx works from console but runlevel 5 stoped working

I had the system booting into x no problem then i installed cedega and the ati drivers and they both seem to work fine but now i have to start the computer in run lvl 3 then type startx. Where can I look to find out whats killing run lvl 5 from going all the way into X.

This is on a new FC5 install
Thanks,
TonyR

have you looked in /var/log at the files:
messages
X.log.0
to see if they hold any clues?
