Note. Due to the angelfire web hosting and some heavy traffic, this site may sometimes be down.

It is an interesting article, but if you ask me that's not a trip I'd like to take without proper equipment. Radiac, film badge, canary suit, ect...

thought I'd bring bring a thread from the last page of wib to the front. Imagine the days when the admin of FF.org could post his email address in his sig

I read the page mentioned in the first thread years ago, and it spurred a week long reading spree on anything having to do with the explosion and consequential deserting of a whole region. National Geographic has some amazing photos of the city left behind.

There's something about a ghost town just sitting out there falling to ruin that makes you pause. If you have time, go through all the pages in the link. It's a pretty cool story, and an even more amazing are the photos.

    thanks,
    json
I read the f'ing manual, and it told me to ask you guys...

the enormity of something like that is truly dumbfounding. I just have problems imagining having to give up your life and walk(or run) away because of something like that. And you only get to do that if you're one of the lucky ones.

    Incredible, really.

    thanks,

The stuff of Science Fiction lives there. Not much else. Except it isn't fiction. That's a tough thing to get your head wrapped around. I mean, I've spent some less-than-quality time in some pretty nasty environs. And I've stood in (Kinda made a hole!) Ground Zero at Trinity. (Not for very bloody long though!) But that whole area over there is "Hot as H*ll" in a whole different way.

I DLed the videos from her site, now I need to get .wmv support installed so I can view 'em. Guess I better go look over Firewing's shoulder for a while.
