IDE Recommendation
Hi, I have already experimented with eclipse, but that gives me strange errors. I experimented with anjuta (which i used on ubuntu) but that didnt wokr quite right. Does ne1 have ne recommendations as to a good C++ ide?

meh, i already installed anjuita. but u think my errors in anjuta were dependency problems?

If your looking to just compile programs you can just use g++ and a text editor that's what I do it's far simpler. The only really good ide I've come accross is Visual Studio(something microsoft got right for once). Other than that good ol' "g++ helloworld.cpp" does the trick for me.

yeah...i use visual studio when im in xp., but im looking for a good ide, one that doesnt wanna do everythign for u (cough *anjuta), one that has a good debuger. Intellisense (thats the M$ name for it, idk what its called elsewhere) would be nice, but not really a requirement.

Did you try Kdeveloper?Im currently using gnome but kdeveloper is a really good ide

so u can use kdevelop in gnome? How would you go about setting that up, other than making a kde session

of course u can use it in gnome. kdeveloper is a multi language ide.it also support c and c++ and.i did not need extra settings for use it...
