Rebulding Modules for Internal Modem

My Internal Modem D-link DFM-560IS+++ is detected under PCI bus as shown in KUDZU, and i installed HSF linmodem driver for int modem. after installation it shows to run hsfconfig then it shows that kernal 2.6.9 is not having built in module to run int modem and it ask to re-build it. Please any body help me in Knowing what is module re-building and how to re-build the module.
