Mounting Hard disk media on PCMCIA

FC5-i386
I have a CF card/PCMCIA adapter I plug into my pcmcia port on my laptop, the card is detected as a
"Umounted Hard Disk Volume" in Kde Konqueror if I right click on icon and tell it to mount, it will say
"permission denied" in User or SU, how do I do a mount of the hard disk media.
It is selected in system:/media/hde1 .
