GEForce 6500 or ATI X550 ?

Which graphic card is better suited to FC5, Nvidia GeForce 6500 or ATI X550 ? The price is very similar and I know that Nvidia is more friendly to the communitie but X550 has a 128 bit memory access and drives are available for Fedora.

Personally I'd go for the Nvidia, if only because my experience with nvidia cards in linux has always been good, and nvidia support for linux tends to be better than ATI. Also, the livna nvidia drivers work well. That said, I'm sure there are many people on this forum who prefer ATI, so it's up you.

I would personally go for nvidia. When I have used Ati drivers I found the performance to be rather shocking in 3d but I never had any trouble with it in 2d (xorg driver).

Thank you both. I had tried both cards and, yess, Nvidia worked better. Now how do I close this thread ?
