Menu File in KDE

What is the menu file read by kicker to display the menu?I guess its a xml or text file but where does it lie in my home directory ?

It's not a single file, and it's not in your home directory. The specification for desktop menus is in http://standards.freedesktop.org/menu-spec/1.0/
