I'm attempting to install the latest nVidia Video drivers on a newly installed FC5 system. I've followed the readme instructions, as well as a sticky help post located here:
http://www.nvnews.net/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=68681
However, when running the 'sh NVIDIA-Linux-x86-1.0-8756-pkg1.run' command, I am notified of the following:
Quote:
ERROR: You appear to be running an X server; please exit X before installing. For further
details, please see the section INSTALLING THE NVIDIA DRIVER in the README available
on the Linux driver download page at www.nvidia.com.

The only boot options I have are GNOME, KDE, and what is called a command line option. However, that command line option is enclosed in what looks like an X-window. Surely enough, I get the same message.
Is it possible to add another option to my boot so that I go directly to a command line?
Thank you for any and all help.
